GUA SHA SHOP

Gua Sha

Gua Sha is a traditional Chinese medical practice that has been around since the 14th century and can be performed on the body and on the face. ‘Gua’ means to scrape and ‘Sha’ means to redden. However in facial Gua Sha our intention is not to redden the face, as such and the treatment on the face is much more gentle than on the body.

What does Gua Sha do?

Promotes healthy lymph flow

Releases tension in the face

Tones muscle

Firms & sculpts

Depuffs

Helps ‘iron out’ the fascia ( connective tissue)

What tool to use?

There are so many tools on the market, different shapes and stones so it can be confusing. Jade is the more traditional stone with a longer history of use. Rose Quartz is said to be linked to the heart chakra and gives off vibrations that promote love, happiness and emotional health. Both visibly improve the appearance of the skin and reduce puffiness. It is, however, down to personal preference.

Gua Sha Zoom lessons are available to teach you how to use your tool
