REFLEXOLOGY
Dee's treatments incorporates several advanced reflexology techniques and combines them in a way that is unique and offers more than you will receive in other standard reflexology treatments.
Reflexology is a safe, natural therapy, suitable for all ages.
Reflexology may help the body to heal itself. It helps the nervous system to rebalance itself and get back into a state of equlibrium. The feet have approx 7000 nerve endings which correspond to different parts of the body. The reflexologist uses their hands to apply pressure to these points on the feet to stimulate these nerves. Trained hands may detect imbalances and tiny deposits (granules) on the feet and by working on the feet and on these points the reflexologist may help the body restore balance, unblock blockages and encourage the free flow of energy through the body.
Reflexology can stimulate the circulation and lymphatic system, improve the elimination of toxins and waste products. Pain can be reduced (by stimulating the body’s own pain receptors) and stress can just fade away. Hormones may be balanced, thereby reducing PMT or menopause symptoms or just rebalancing in preparation for pregnancy – getting the body in an optimal state for pregnancy.
REFLEXOLOGY LYMPH DRAINAGE
Reflexology lymph Drainage (RLD) is a reflexology technique that focuses on working the lymphatic reflex points on the feet to aid the function of the lymphatic system, aiming to drain excess lymph away from the congested area. It was initially developed to help women suffering secondary (a swelling in the arms) following breast cancer.
RLD is also used to treat other conditions such as eczema, fibromyalgia, ME, arthritis, migraines and sinus problems.
HOT STONE REFLEXOLOGY
This is a luxurious treatment using basalt stones along with an organic aromatherapy balm within your treatment. The hot stones are used on the legs and feet and penetrate the skin to a deeper level, bringing about physiological changes and influencing the body's internal energy field. Incorporating hot stones in a reflexology treatment can enhance the power of the treatment. The basalt stones retain the heat well. They are first used to massage the lower legs, relieving tension and helping enhance energy flow. Smaller stones are then used to work the reflex areas on the feet.
Sheer bliss!
REPRODUCTIVE REFLEXOLOGY
Reproductive reflexology can be used as a stand-alone treatment to help enhance your natural fertility or with all forms of assisted conception including Clomid, IUI, IVF and ICSI. It is a specific training, with very structured and prescriptive protocols, to support couples through all phases of their conception programme.
